Creative sound re-design of Tame Impala's music video for song "Let it Happen". Produced using a combination of recorded, sampled and synthesised sounds and mixed using Pro Tools.
One of the most significant projects that helped me grow as a sound designer was when I re-designed the sound for Tame Impala's music video "Let It Happen". Although I didn't work with the band directly, I had the chance to create a new sound design and Foley effects by muting the original audio and working with the video.
"Let It Happen" is an enthralling track with intricate layers of electronic elements and psychedelic textures. The task of re-designing the sound for the music video allowed me to explore the endless possibilities of sonic storytelling and refine my sound design skills further.
With the original audio muted, I approached the project with a fresh perspective, aiming to enhance the visual narrative and elevate the overall viewing experience. I meticulously crafted new soundscapes that complemented the visuals, selecting and designing audio elements that would resonate with the song's hypnotic nature.
I employed innovative techniques and blended various Foley effects to create a cohesive audiovisual journey that captivated the audience.
